Cookies & browser storage
Go Mancala does not use advertising cookies. It uses limited browser storage to keep accounts, preferences and live matches working.
Authentication
Supabase stores the signed-in session in local browser storage under the key mangala-auth-session. This is necessary to keep you signed in and restore an authenticated session.
Gameplay and reconnect
A random guest identifier, guest nickname, room seat tokens and the current tab’s seat are stored locally or in session storage. They let a guest keep a stable identity and allow a player to reclaim the correct seat after refresh. These keys use the existing mangala- prefix.
Preferences
Theme, language, sound, chat mute, tutorial completion, notification preference and install-related choices are stored locally so the interface can remember them. Browser notification permission remains controlled by your browser.
Essential product analytics
Go Mancala sends a small set of first-party reliability events with a random in-memory session identifier. That identifier is not saved in cookies, local storage or session storage. These events contain bounded game context and do not include chat, room codes, email addresses or advertising profiles.
Optional Google Analytics
When a production Google Analytics property is configured, Google Analytics remains off until you select “Accept analytics”. If accepted, Google may set _ga and _ga_* first-party cookies to distinguish browsers and measure page visits and a short allow-list of game-mode actions. Their typical maximum duration is two years. Advertising storage, Google Signals and ad personalisation remain disabled.
Consent
Your analytics choice is stored under go-mancala-analytics-consent so the site can respect it. Reject is presented alongside Accept. You can reopen Cookie settings, withdraw permission and remove Go Mancala’s Google Analytics cookies. No Google Analytics script or request is loaded before acceptance.
Control
You can clear local site data through your browser. Doing so may sign you out, reset preferences, remove a guest identity or prevent restoration of a live match seat.
